Apple brought a new approach to touch computing, via a high-resolution strip of virtual controls known as the Touch Bar. This multi-touch glass strip of shortcut keys changes depending on the app you’re using. In the Calendar app, for example, you can use the Touch Bar to change the on-screen view by electing day, week, month or year. In Photos, you can slide your finger to apply filters and crop or rotate a picture. Touch Bar is also open to third-party developers, bringing the functionality to other apps like Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop.
